The Committee of Seventy, Chairman Commissioner Omar Sabir and Partners Hold Event to Celebrate the Joy of Voting
The Committee of Seventy, Philadelphia Chairman Commissioner Omar Sabir, OnePhillyConnect and other partners will hold a special event and press conference ahead of the October 29th deadline to request a mail-in ballot. The event aims to increase awareness about the Satellite Election Offices (SEOs) across the city and the services available at each location, as well as City Hall, while encouraging city employees and other nearby businesses to cast their mail-in ballot at one of these locations.

The Committee of Seventy and OnePhillyConnect are hosting several pop-up events at Philadelphia Satellite Election Offices (SEOs) to increase voter engagement ahead of the 5pm October 29th deadline to request mail-in ballots. These events will include live music performances, food, giveaways, and voter information hubs, aiming to increase awareness of the SEOs among the neighboring community and encourage voter participation.

More than 60 K-12 Pennsylvania teachers attended the inaugural PA Civics Educator Forum at the National Constitution Center on Friday, September 27, 2024. Hosted by the Committee of Seventy in partnership with PA Civics and other civic organizations, this free professional development conference offered educators innovative teaching methods, experiential learning activities, and nonpartisan resources to enhance civic education in their classrooms.
