Philadelphia Ward Leaders & Committeepeople

Philadelphia will elect Democratic and Republican committeepeople on May 19, 2026. Committeepeople serve as the frontline workers for local and state political organizations. They register voters, knock on doors, endorse candidates, and lead important get-out-the-vote efforts. They also play a vital role in educating voters and addressing voter disinterest.

How Wards Work is our new bipartisan guide designed to help Philadelphians understand the ward system and learn how to run for committeeperson. It also offers practical training on how to serve effectively once elected.

We are available to provide in-person trainings for organizations beginning in January 2026. If your organization would like to schedule a session, please contact our Program Director, Tanisha Bezue, at [email protected].
