The Committee of Seventy has partnered with the League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania and experienced poll workers to offer information and resources for individuals seeking to staff polling places on Election Day. C70 and the LWVPA also offer supplementary information sessions with a former county election director for anyone looking for a more detailed overview of working the polls.
This information session will build on the required trainings provided by Pennsylvania counties, covering the basics of working the polls in Pennsylvania and giving additional details on important procedures. It is perfect for a first-time poll worker or experienced poll worker who wants to brush up on their knowledge.

People from Philadelphia are asked to register be a “standby pollworker” - someone who attends an advance information session and then joins a “Zoom” videoconference at 6:15 am on election day for a last minute assignment. Most people will need a car or be very handy with public transportation to quickly get to these places. The Zoom link for Election Day is available here.
Note: These sessions are not official trainings from a County Board of Elections, and participants are not compensated for their attendance. If you are selected to be a poll worker, you will still need to attend a training from your local Board of Elections.
