On Election Day, the Committee of Seventy will once again host “Studio C70,” an interview forum for the city and state’s leading policymakers and civic leaders to share their thoughts about the general election and issues that are front-of-mind for Pennsylvania voters.

C70 is partnering with Cosmic Writers for a creative writing conference to mobilize Philadelphia high schoolers to use their voices to impact the upcoming mayoral election.

If you live in Roxborough, Manayunk, Chestnut Hill, East Falls, Andorra, Shawmont or Wissahickon, you probably reside within the boundaries of the newly-drawn 194th Legislative District in the Pennsylvania State Legislature. Two Democratic candidates, incumbent Pam DeLissio and Tarik Khan, are running for the State Representative seat. Join us for this live event to hear the candidates answer questions in this forum moderated by Morgan M. Robinson of the League of Women Voters of Philadelphia, and co-presented by the Committee of Seventy and FairDistrictsPA. This event is FREE and will end between 8:00pm and 8:15pm.

Philly students are in the middle of a multi-week workshop to use their written voices to participate in the upcoming election. A select group of five students from across the city will present op-eds about their future visions for Philadelphia. City Council candidates will then react to those visions.
