Deadline for all political committees (which includes candidate committees, political committees, and political action committees) to file the 2024 Year-End Campaign Finance report (must be filed electronically using the online Delaware Campaign Finance Reporting System).

Early Voting period for the State Senate Districts 1 & 5 Special Elections begins. This is offered at the designated Early Voting Sites from 7AM - 7PM.

Deadline to register by mail, in-person, or online for the State Senate Districts 1 & 5 Special Elections.

Last day of Early Voting period for the State Senate Districts 1 & 5 Special Elections from 7AM - 7PM. 

State Senate Districts 1 & 5 Special Elections - polls open from 7am-8pm. Eligible voters must vote at their assigned polling place on Special Election Day. Voters must return absentee ballots to the Department of Elections county office by 8pm.

Deadline of 4:30PM for candidates for school board elections to file notice of candidacy, and to file proof that their background check has been requested under § 309 of Title 31 of the Delaware Code.

Campaign Finance 30-Day School Board Election Report period ends for all political committees (which includes candidate committees of school board candidates on the May 13, 2024 School Board Election ballot, political committees, and political action committees).

Campaign Finance 8-Day School Board Election Report period ends for all political committees (which includes candidate committees of all school board candidates on the May 13, 2025 School Board Election ballot, political committees, and political action committees).

DEADLINE for all political committees (which includes candidate committees of all school board candidates on the May 13, 2025 School Board Election ballot, political committees, and political action committees) to file the 8-Day School Board Election Report (must be electronically filed through the online Delaware Campaign Finance Reporting System).

Deadline for the Department of Elections Offices to mail absentee ballots requested for School Board Elections.

Deadline of 12:00 noon for the Department of Elections Offices to issue absentee ballots for School Board Elections to those individuals who are lawfully entitled to receive them.

School Board elections - polls open from 7am-8pm. Voters must return absentee ballots to the Department of Elections county office by 8pm.

Certification of the School Board Election results by each of the Department of Elections County Offices conducting the election.

Department of Elections conducts public audit of the School Board Election results from randomly selected voting machines using the selection criteria in § 5012A(b) of Title 15 of the Delaware Code.

Deadline for 25 or more persons who voted in a School Board Election to request, in accordance with 14 Del. C. § 1083(e), a recompilation of the results.

Department of Elections conducts public audits of the School Board Election results from randomly selected polling places using the selection criteria in § 5012A(c) of Title 15 of the Delaware Code.

Department of Elections publishes report of School Board Election audit results and posts the report on the Department’s website.
