On September 7th, Acting Secretary of the Commonwealth Leigh Chapman will brief PA's business community on her department's efforts for November 2022, and how we can maximize the engagement of employees, customers, and community members in the next election. Learn about the steps state and county officials are taking to account for the large number of expected mail-in ballots, report the results in a timely manner, and make sure the security systems are in place to guarantee that every valid ballot is counted. The goal, as Ms. Chapman will explain, is to administer the election in a way so that the results are widely trusted.

Closed primaries have been used in the Commonwealth for generations. But our politics have changed; our communities have changed; our voters have changed. So should our elections. That's why we launched Ballot PA, to repeal closed primaries.

The Committee of Seventy is activating three polling sites across Philadelphia to engage voters, foster civic pride, and celebrate democracy through art, food, music, community engagement, and nonpartisan outreach on Election Day.

On Election Day, November 5, 2024, the Committee of Seventy, OnePhillyConnect, and additional partners will host events at three high-traffic Philadelphia polling locations to promote civic pride and voter engagement. Activities will include interactive art installations, music, food and giveaways, aiming to create an environment that celebrates the democratic process.
