Domb introduces proposal to make outdoor dining a permanent fixture in Philadelphia

Join the Philadelphia Bar Association and the Committee of Seventy for a special evening marking the 60th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act. This commemorative program will feature a keynote address by Professor Akhil Reed Amar, Sterling Professor of Law and Political Science at Yale University, one of the nation’s leading constitutional scholars.

More than 60 K-12 Pennsylvania teachers attended the inaugural PA Civics Educator Forum at the National Constitution Center on Friday, September 27, 2024. Hosted by the Committee of Seventy in partnership with PA Civics and other civic organizations, this free professional development conference offered educators innovative teaching methods, experiential learning activities, and nonpartisan resources to enhance civic education in their classrooms.

For the fourth consecutive year, the Committee of Seventy, in partnership with the League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania, launched its poll worker and poll watcher virtual information sessions in advance of the April 23, 2024 primary election. Between March 1st and April 22nd, Seventy and the LWVPA will host nearly 30 sessions designed for both new and experienced poll workers and poll watchers.

Join the Committee of Seventy and the LWVPA for a supplemental training on electronic poll books! E-Poll books will be used in Philadelphia during the November General Election. All of the e-poll book trainings will be identical, so you only need to sign up for one session.
