Sarah Boorboor is Director of Communications and Strategic Events at The Forum of Executive Women, where she advances women’s leadership, pay equity, and workplace policies such as paid family leave through strategic communications and high-impact programs. Her work sits at the intersection of business leadership and civic engagement, translating complex policy issues into accessible narratives that mobilize leaders and strengthen regional dialogue. She has collaborated with public-sector and nonprofit partners across Philadelphia to elevate women’s representation and economic opportunity.
Sarah began her career with Teach For America as a public school teacher in New Orleans, an experience that shaped her commitment to equity and community-centered leadership. She spent five years in Shanghai working with global brands such as ELLE and Garena, and helped launch Unravel Storytelling, a platform dedicated to the power of personal narrative and community. Since returning to Philadelphia, she has remained deeply engaged in civic advocacy, including organizing a Save Chinatown fundraiser benefiting Asian Americans United. Her leadership is grounded in a deep commitment to building connections, advancing equity, and strengthening the institutions that make Philadelphia resilient and inclusive.
