Ben Rush-Goebel

Director of Programs, World Affairs Council of Philadelphia

Ben is a dynamic leader with a wealth of experience spanning both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. Since March 2024, Ben has served as the Director of Programs at the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia. In this role, he manages speaker engagements, organizes fireside chats with visiting diplomats, coordinates international quiz nights, and develops programs that showcase his adopted hometown.
Prior to this role, Ben spearheaded the International Professionals Program at The Welcoming Center for over four years, a crucial initiative dedicated to assisting immigrants in their pursuit of meaningful employment.

A proud United States citizen since 2022, Ben's love for both this country and Philadelphia is evident in his deep-rooted passion for making them better places for everyone. His multifaceted leadership, coupled with his dedication to community engagement, underscores his commitment to positive change and inclusive growth. In his free time, Ben enjoys walking through FDR Park with his wife, Sage, and their dog, Bessie—and somewhere along the way, he became an avid baseball fan and devoted Phillies supporter.
