Sen. Dan Laughlin to Introduce Open Primaries Legislation to Enfranchise 900,000 Independent Voters on Election Day

On April 7th and April 9th, the Committee of Seventy and the Philadelphia City Commissioners’ Office are hosting two in-person classes to help organizations and community members better understand voter registration ahead of the primary. Participants will learn how to complete and submit registrations accurately, avoid common mistakes, and understand what happens after forms are processed so they can confidently support voters.

Pennsylvania high schoolers from different communities across the Commonwealth will come together for a moderated discussion on prompts, drawn from topics suggested by students, covering a range of political and cultural issues.
