Poll workers are democracy's essential workers! This information session will cover the basics of working the polls in Pennsylvania. It is perfect for a first-time poll worker or experienced poll worker who wants to brush up on their knowledge. The Democracy Agenda for Philadelphia outlines the actions needed by our next mayor and City Council to ensure a more representative and ethical city government—a more democratic city government responsive to voters, that protects the public interest, and that engages communities on key decisions shaping their future.

To introduce students to different kinds of questions they can ask themselves and others – whether in class, with friends and family, or in different conversation settings. And to give them practice in using different kinds of questions.

To give students a helpful tool to identify the root problem beneath some frustration, dysfunction or obstacle that is bothering them, whether at an individual, family, social, community or societal level. And to share this wisdom: If you're working with a faulty grasp of the real problem, you're likely going to come up with faulty solutions.

To help student acquire a deeper understanding of the ground rules: why they are necessary, why they are useful, and how to use them.
