Writing for Impact Conference Final Event
Philly students are in the middle of a multi-week workshop to use their written voices to participate in the upcoming election. A select group of five students from across the city will present op-eds about their future visions for Philadelphia. City Council candidates will then react to those visions.

Spring 2025 District Attorney Candidate Forum
On Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 7:00 PM, the Committee of Seventy, along with WHYY News, the Philadelphia Bar Association, and other civic partners, is hosting an in-person forum between the two Democratic candidates for Philadelphia District Attorney: incumbent District Attorney Larry Krasner and former Municipal Court Judge Pat Dugan. The conversation will be moderated by Carmen Russell-Sluchansky, legal analyst and journalist, and Cherri Gregg, civil rights attorney and award-winning journalist.
