The Committee of Seventy was established in 1904 to combat corruption in Philadelphia, playing a major role in the adoption of civil service reforms and the passage of the 1919 and 1951 Home Rule Charters. A nonprofit and nonpartisan organization, Seventy does not endorse candidates or represent any special interests.

State of Young Philly 2017 Civic Engagement Fair on October 12

Join Citizen University CEO Eric Liu for a conversation about civic engagement and his new book: You're More Powerful than You Think.

Mr. Liu is the founder of Citizen University and executive director of the Aspen Institute Citizenship and American Identity Program. He served as an aide for President Bill Clinton and is a regular columnist for CNN. and a correspondent for TheAtlantic. Register online.

Each attendee will recieve a copy of his book: "You're More Powerful than You Think: A Citizen's Guide to Making Change Happen".
