The event will feature a panel discussion on the importance of mentorship moderated by Sue Jacobson, President and CEO of Jacobson Strategic Communications. Panelists include Donna Bullock, President and CEO of Project Home and former member of the PA House of Representatives, Carlyn Crawley, Chief of Staff to Philadelphia Councilmember Quetcy Lozada and Buchholz Fellow Alumna, and Trish Wellenbach, Board Chair Thomas Jefferson University.
C70 will also honor Charisse R. Lillie, Esquire, with the Civic Leadership Award, as part of the event. Lillie has been the CEO of CRL Consulting LLC, a consulting firm focused on corporate governance diversity, equity and inclusion, and corporate social responsibility. From 2005-2017, she served in several senior roles at Comcast Corporation, including Senior Vice President of Human Resources of Comcast Cable, Vice President of Human Resources of Comcast Corporation, President of the Comcast Foundation, and Vice President of Community Investment of Comcast Corporation.
Prior to joining Comcast, Lillie spent thirteen years at Ballard Spahr, LLP, where she served as partner and chair of the firm’s litigation department from 2002 to 2005. Early in her career, she was a Trial Attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, and an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Civil Division. She is also a former City Solicitor of the City of Philadelphia and has served on many civic commissions, including the MOVE Commission.
Lillie currently serves as a director of Exelon Corporation, Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company, Independence Health Group, Inc., and the Franklin Institute Science Museum. Lillie is a former board member and board chair of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. She previously served as a director of PECO Energy Company for over thirteen years.
