What is one life experience you have that voters should know about?

Served in the U.S. Army from 2004-08

What sets you apart from other candidates?

My understanding that the purpose of government is to secure our God-given Individual Rights.

How do you plan to work across ideological lines to achieve shared goals?

There are many who wish to take your rights and I will not sacrifice your rights to achieve any goal. However, for those who wish to secure individual rights, I encourage discussions about where rights are being violated and what solutions should be prioritized to secure those rights.

How do you envision the role of Attorney General interacting with other branches of government to effectively serve the interests of the Commonwealth?

One major role of the Office of Attorney General is to advise our public functionaries on proper governance. Having the proper understanding of the role of government is critical to advising other officials on their roles and the laws they are responsible to. Those other branches may also need the support of the Attorney General's office to protect them from the encroachment of other branches of government and from the encroachment of the U.S. government. This support is important to give those officials the freedom to do their jobs. As Attorney General I will protect public officials who refuse to abuse the rights of Pennsylvanians. Every public official is first and foremost to secure our God-given Individual Rights from all who would abuse them; whether the enemy be foreign or domestic.

The Committee of Seventy has partnered with the Carter Center to promote the Candidate Principles for Trusted Elections (www.principledcandidates.org) to improve the voting process, encourage honest leadership, and promote civic engagement. Do you support the Candidate Principles?

Election integrity should not be placated. If there are issues with voter rolls, questionable handling of ballots, flagrant violations of election certification laws, or any other issues with our elections, they should be identified and dealt with immediately to secure our elections. As Attorney General I will be in a unique position to hold our public functionaries accountable to do their jobs, as required by law.
