Sam serves as the PA Civics Coordinator for the Committee of Seventy. After seven years in the classroom as a Civics and US History teacher in Philadelphia, Sam is now working to ensure every student in Pennsylvania receives an impactful civics education. A native of Teaneck, New Jersey, Sam has lived in Philly since 2012 and has fallen deeply in love with this incredible city. Sam is a two-time graduate of the Temple University College of Education and Human Development, possessing Bachelor’s degrees in Secondary Social Studies Education and History and a Master’s degree in Educational Policy with a concentration in Urban Education. His hobbies include making pizza and yearning for Temple basketball to return to greatness.
