Poll Worker 101
Poll workers are democracy's essential workers! This information session will cover the basics of working the polls in Pennsylvania. It is perfect for a first-time poll worker or experienced poll worker who wants to brush up on their knowledge. We will be hosting multiple sessions of "So You Want to be a Poll Worker" in the lead-up to the 2023 general election. All the info sessions titled "So You Want to be a Poll Worker" will be identical, so you only need to sign up for ONE session. This is the first part in a three-part series. (Philadelphia, PA, July 29, 2016): The Committee of Seventy, Philadelphia’s nonpartisan advocate for better government, and the Temple Institute for Survey Research released the results of a survey of Philadelphians today that found that they trust Hillary Clinton 53.8% of the time and Donald Trump only 14% of the time.

Committee of Seventy Launches Poll Worker and Poll Watcher Information Sessions Ahead of Election Day
The Committee of Seventy, in partnership with the League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania, is hosting virtual information sessions for poll workers and poll watchers leading up to the November 5, 2024 general election. Launched on September 16, these sessions will continue through November 4, offering insights and guidance for both new and experienced poll workers and poll watchers to ensure a smooth and secure voting process.
