Laura has devoted her career to empowering students in the Philadelphia area to achieve their limitless potential. After teaching high school English and social studies for six years in Philadelphia, she served as an elementary and middle school turnaround principal in Camden, NJ, where her school went from underperforming to the highest-scoring school in the city. She currently serves as Instructional Practice Director for Teach Plus' Philadelphia, where she leads a leadership development program for elementary teachers in the district. Laura holds degrees from Princeton (BA) and Penn (MEd), and she serves on the boards of New Leaders Council Philadelphia and Girls on the Run Philadelphia.
