Splitting time between social welfare lobbying and the campaign trail, Ashley N. Session has worked across two dozen states to advance the careers and policies of organizations and a number of lawmakers. Ashley currently serves as the Deputy State Director - Pennsylvania for America Votes.

In addition  to political campaigns, Ashley worked on Community School initiatives for Philadelphia’s Mayor’s Office of Education, the Netter Center for Community Partnerships at the University of Pennsylvania, and for Philadelphia Freedom Schools under Communities in Schools Philadelphia.

A product of the Philadelphia Public School System, Ashley understands first-hand the need for real and positive influences in the lives of children and young adults alike. Ashley is involved extensively in and around the City of Philadelphia and is committed to the education – both formal and political – of marginalized communities. She is committed to breaking down barriers in communities of color and advocating for a fair and just society. Ashley has worked on a number of federal and state political elections and has a deep commitment to education, nonprofits, and advocacy.

Ashley currently serves as the 2nd Vice President and member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Omega Omega Chapter. A graduate of the Philadelphia High School for Girls, Ashley holds a BA in Psychology from Hampton University as well as an Executive Masters of Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania’s Fels Institute of Government.
