Can We Talk?: A Statewide Student Dialogue

Do you know a student who's a junior or senior at a high school in Pennsylvania?  If so, here's an opportunity for them to have a great experience and bolster their resume for college.  The Committee of Seventy is sponsoring Can We Talk?: A Statewide Student Dialogue on Zoom from 12:15 to 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, April 25.

Can We Talk? is an experience for young people to learn how to develop skills in productive civil dialogue with other students from a range of different backgrounds. Students have called the experience "eye-opening," "refreshing" and the "best political conversation I ever had." This event is the capstone of the launch year of this program in Pennsylvania high schools. Students from across the state are scheduled to take part.

Students can register here. Students will need to ask their schools for release time from their regular classes on the afternoon of April 25. Every participating student will get a certificate designating them as a Can We Talk? Dialogue Pioneer and will have a shot at winning one of three cash prizes for participating students.
