What is one life experience you have that voters should know about?

Whether it is my first job working on the Pennsylvania Turnpike cleaning the highway or preparing for a month-long homicide trial and sleeping in my office to be best prepared, I have worked hard throughout my career. I believe that my work ethic and overcoming challenges has allowed me to push beyond my limits, learn new skills and lead to personal growth.

What sets you apart from other candidates?

My ability to work across the aisle and find common ground among those who I don't see eye-to-eye with. As a prosecutor in the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office, I have tried thousands of cases, but in many cases I have been able to reach a compromise with the opposing counsel. I believe if I am able to work with opposing counsel in matters that involve one's liberty and freedom, I will be able to work across the aisle in Harrisburg.

How do you plan to work across ideological lines to achieve shared goals?

I believe that I will be able to work across ideological lines by employing a number of approaches. First, I believe that building relationships with those who don't see eye to eye with me and building trust and rapport to foster a more cooperative and productive working environment. Also, I would focus on policy and not politics and keep the focus on policy goals and outcomes. Lastly, I would focus on bipartisan initiatives and look for opportunities to collaborate on bipartisan initiatives that have support by members of both parties.

What would be your top three policy priorities in office?

My top three policy priorities include securing adequate funding for law enforcement and first responders to promote recruiting to fill staffing shortages and invest in cost of living adjustments so that those who dedicate their careers to keeping us safe can comfortably retire. Additionally, I want expand access to mental health service in order to make it easier for those who need to seek help to do so. This is especially important for young people so that they are knowledgeable about the resources available to them and face little to no barriers in seeking that help. Lastly, I will fight to invest in our region's transportation infrastructure. My district does not have a single public transportation system that services the area and we can greatly improve connecting infrastructure between our communities and commercial districts to boost the local economy and expand opportunities for commuters.
