What is one life experience you have that voters should know about?

In 2018-2019, I co-chaired the Beaver County chapter of Fair Districts PA, a multi-partisan group that worked to pass legislation to change the way our voting districts were drawn to a system that was more inclusive of voters. While the legislation did not pass the PA House, I did secure the co-sponsorship of our state Senator, who was of a different party. I secured the Senator's endorsement by collecting signed postcards from voters of all parties in our senatorial district.

What sets you apart from other candidates?

I encourage my own party to change their position on issues when I think they are wrong.

How do you plan to work across ideological lines to achieve shared goals?

I share many of the same ideologies as public servants in the other party. I plan to start by working on shared issues, even if they are not the targeted issues of my own party.

What would be your top three policy priorities in office?

(1) Increase minimum pay for teachers and education support professionals; (2) Increase funding for large capital expenses for volunteer fir departments; (3) Increase funding for the PA Farm Bill.

The Committee of Seventy has partnered with the Carter Center to promote the Candidate Principles for Trusted Elections (www.principledcandidates.org) to improve the voting process, encourage honest leadership, and promote civic engagement. Do you support the Candidate Principles?

Yes, I have actively stood for these principles in the face of people who violate them.
