What is one life experience you have that voters should know about?
Working in Healthcare throughout the pandemic solidified how important compassion is in this world. This compassion and the need to put others before myself is what will make me a great State Representative.
What sets you apart from other candidates?
My background in Healthcare gave me the opportunity to meet and talk with people from every walk of life, I was able to hear from multiple perspectives and earn their trust as their caregiver during their hospital stay at UPMC Presbyterian/Montefiore or while I was assisting people at home while I worked at Voices for Independence. This kind of experience sets me apart as it shows that I am able to get along with anyone and have the compassion to make sure the legislation we put forth will be good for as many people as possible.
How do you plan to work across ideological lines to achieve shared goals?
I am willing to work with anyone in order to get legislation passed that makes the Commonwealth a better place. The best way to do this is through open communication and finding a common ground that we can build on.
What would be your top three policy priorities in office?
My top 3 policy priorities are environmental issues, healthcare improvement, and educational improvements.
The Committee of Seventy has partnered with the Carter Center to promote the Candidate Principles for Trusted Elections (www.principledcandidates.org) to improve the voting process, encourage honest leadership, and promote civic engagement. Do you support the Candidate Principles?
I do support the Candidate Principles. The one that is most important in my mind is Trusted Outcomes.
