The Committee of Seventy and Franklin & Marshall College invite you to join us for a live event at the Ethical Society of Philadelphia for an in-depth, expert analysis of Pennsylvania politics. Committee of Seventy President and CEO Lauren Cristella will moderate a discussion with Berwood Yost, director of the Franklin & Marshall College Center for Opinion Research; Stephen Medvic, the Honorable and Mrs. John C. Kunkel Professor of Government; and Lauren Mayk, reporter for NBC10 News.
Attendees will learn where voters stand ahead of the midterm elections and other insights from the October F&M Poll.The discussion will focus on the issues that are motivating voters in the 2026 midterms and how those perspectives are shaping races up and down the ballot, from the Pennsylvania gubernatorial race between Democrat incumbent Governor Josh Shapiro and Republican challenger Treasurer Stacy Garrity, to the races for US House, State House and State Senate. Topics of discussion that may influence these races include ratings of presidential performance, judgments about the economy, concerns about artificial intelligence and data centers, the effects of tariffs, and feelings about corruption and voting integrity.
The event is free and open to the public but registration is required.
