As part of the Election Academy series, the Committee of Seventy and the Philadelphia City Commissioners’ Office are hosting two in-person classes focused on understanding voter registration in Philadelphia.
Many organizations and volunteers regularly assist with voter registration, but the process involves specific requirements that are not always widely understood. When forms are submitted incorrectly or key information is missing, voters may not realize there is an issue until it is too late.
These sessions are designed to help both partisan and nonpartisan organizations prepare for the upcoming primary election by providing clear, practical guidance on how to support voter registration efforts in their communities. Participants will also hear directly from the Philadelphia City Commissioners’ Office and League of Women Voters of Philadelphia about what happens after voter registration forms are submitted, including how they are reviewed, processed, and maintained.

The building is easily accessed from the Spring Garden station on the Market-Frankford Line, as well as SEPTA bus routes 43, 5, 57, and 25. There’s street parking and a paid parking lot.

Space is limited to maintain an interactive learning experience. You should only attend one session. Registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and participants must register in advance using the link for the specific session they plan to attend.
