The Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law led the 2016 Election Protection operation in Philadelphia and across Pennsylvania. The Committee's 1-866-OUR-VOTE hotline is available year-round to address questions about the voting process or to report problems encountered on Election Day. For certain elections, the Committee may also recruit and train nonpartisan volunteers to help monitor polls on Election Day.
NOTE: Nonpartisan poll observers, including those serving in an Election Protection operation, are not allowed inside polling places in Pennsylvania. Only poll watchers serving on behalf of parties or candidates and with certificates granted by a County Board of Elections can be inside the polls on Election Day. For more on authorized poll watchers, review pages 31 and 32 of the Guide for Election Officials in Philadelphia County.
