Genevieve Greene (she/her) is a longtime Philadelphia resident with a passion for building trust between the public and their government. She currently serves as the Committee of Seventy’s Director of Communications, where she drives strategic initiatives to enhance the organization’s impact, elevate its brand, and advance transparent and effective governance.

Previously, Genevieve served as Operations Director for Rebecca Rhynhart’s mayoral campaign and worked in Communications for the City of Philadelphia – Office of the City Controller under Controller Rhynhart. There, she used strategic communication to make government information accessible, engage diverse audiences, and position the office as a champion for change. During her time with the Controller’s Office, Genevieve led the release of high-profile investigations, including the City’s response to civil unrest in 2020 and the Sheriff’s Office gun inventory, which garnered significant public and media attention.

Prior to joining the Controller’s Office, Genevieve was an Account Coordinator for a healthcare public relations agency and held several positions with the City of Philadelphia. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communication from Temple University after transferring from community college in her home state of Massachusetts.

Genevieve serves as the Policy Chair for the League of Women Voters of Philadelphia. In her free time, she enjoys live music, board games, and spending time outdoors
