Responsibilities:
Social Media Management: Create engaging and compelling content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Monitor and manage social media accounts, respond to inquiries, and engage with our online community.
Content Creation: Develop and curate multimedia content, including graphics, videos, blog posts, and infographics, to support our digital media campaigns and initiatives.
Website Management: Assist in maintaining and updating the organization's website, ensuring content is accurate, up-to-date, and visually appealing. Utilize basic web development skills to make necessary updates and improvements. We use Apostrophe; no experience in this platform is required.
Email Marketing: Support the creation and distribution of email campaigns, newsletters, and other digital communications to engage and educate our audience.
Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze digital media metrics, providing regular reports on performance, audience engagement, and campaign effectiveness. Utilize data-driven insights to optimize future communications strategies.
Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams to gather information, stories, and updates to create compelling content. Collaborate with external partners and influencers to amplify our message and increase visibility.
Research: Stay informed about current trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in digital media and communications to ensure our organization remains at the forefront of innovative strategies.
Event Support: Provide assistance during organization events and campaigns, both in-person and virtual, to ensure smooth execution and maximize engagement with our target audience.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and ability to convey complex ideas effectively.
Demonstrated experience with digital media platforms, including social media management, content creation, and email marketing.
Knowledge of analytics tools to track and analyze digital media performance.
Passion for voting rights and an understanding of the issues surrounding voter engagement and advocacy.
Creative thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit, able to generate innovative ideas and approaches.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in graphic design software, video editing tools, or other multimedia creation platforms is a plus.
