What is one life experience you have that voters should know about?
My life has been a myriad of experiences that brought me to running for office. The one that sticks with me is when a State Rep told me that aging is not a sexy topic. My background is with senior living. We are all aging from birth to death and everywhere in-between. Seniors need a voice in Harrisburg, I plan to be that voice.
What sets you apart from other candidates?
I have been an advocate for senior living and have experience in Harrisburg and Washington, DC. I have been a single parent with 2 children and understand the struggles associated with raising a family on one income.
How do you plan to work across ideological lines to achieve shared goals?
Everyone must set aside the political party and work for to achieve the best outcome for the constituents of the Commonwealth. That means we must agree to disagree but come to a consensus on what best serves the citizens.
What would be your top three policy priorities in office?
Implementing the 10year-Strategic Plan Aging our Way PA to support the aging population, addressing the Workforce Crisis in healthcare, education and childcare, safety and security in our communities this include safety from violence but also security in housing and emergency preparedness.
The Committee of Seventy has partnered with the Carter Center to promote the Candidate Principles for Trusted Elections (www.principledcandidates.org) to improve the voting process, encourage honest leadership, and promote civic engagement. Do you support the Candidate Principles?
I support the Candidate Principles.
