What is one life experience you have that voters should know about?

I am a legal immigrant. I migrated to the United States in 2001 to escape the violent religious persecution of Christians in my homeland of Pakistan. I proudly became a US citizen in 2006, and have worked diligently to fulfill my American dream. I earned a Bachelor's degree from Temple University and an MBA from LaSalle University. My education, drive and entrepreneurial spirit enabled me to successfully start my own small business, in addition to working as an accountant for the City of Philadelphia.

What sets you apart from other candidates?

I am a faithful and committed Christian. My calling is to serve others. I have been a visible, passionate and dedicated servant leader in my community, working tirelessly to make life better for my neighbors. I will bring this same zeal for service to the citizens of the 2nd District.

How do you plan to work across ideological lines to achieve shared goals?

I am willing to partner with anyone who is committed to preserving our Constitution and maintaining our Constitutional Republic.

What would be your top three policy priorities in office?

1. Securing our borders. 2. Improving the economy, changing the tax and spend policies that have resulted in record levels of inflation and unprecedented tax burdens on our citizens. 3. Preserving the Constitution and returning the United States to the Judeo-Christian values upon which the Country was founded.

The Committee of Seventy has partnered with the Carter Center to promote the Candidate Principles for Trusted Elections (www.principledcandidates.org) to improve the voting process, encourage honest leadership, and promote civic engagement. Do you support the Candidate Principles?

Yes. Fair and secure elections form the foundation of our democratic process. The integrity of our voting process must be maintained. Any legal US citizen registered to vote must be able to do so without fear of violence and intimidation.
